Wayne Savings buys back $1.4M of common stock

Wooster, Ohio-based Wayne Savings Bancshares Inc. has completed its September 2016 stock buyback plan with the repurchase of 75,995 common shares for $1.4 million.

It had previously said it would repurchase up to 69,546 shares, or about 2.5% of its issued and outstanding stock.

The board intends to consider authorizing another repurchase program.
