Hulu LLC and esports company ESL said Oct. 9 that they struck a deal for the streaming of exclusive content on Hulu, including four new esports series debuting in the fall.
"Player V. Player" is a debate-game show where panelists win points as they debate various topics. The final challenge is held over a video game.
"Bootcamp" is a weekly documentary-series that follows a top "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" team, The Immortals, who are three players short of a full team, as they rebuild their roster before a big esports event.
"Defining Moments," meanwhile, covers various big games, with commentators explaining why the moments in esports history were so great. "ESL Replay" is a documentary-style recap of the most memorable moments from four of the biggest multiday esports tournaments in the world. Each episode will be aired within a week of the live event.
Hulu's content owners include Comcast Corp.'s NBCUniversal Media LLC, Walt Disney Co., 21st Century Fox Inc. and Time Warner Inc.
