Shareholder proposal for independent chair rejected at UMB Financial

At theirannual meeting held April 26, stockholders of Kansas City, Mo.-based rejected ashareholder proposal for the adoption of a policy requiring an independentboard chair.

According toa Form 8-K filed April 28, there were 33,518,634 votes against the , and 9,071,755 votes infavor. There were 173,495 abstentions and 2,950,917 broker nonvotes.
