Total revenue came to €22.48 billion, and total operating expenses totaled €21.82 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of €168.0 million, or a loss of €1.50 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled €2.25 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of €2.78.
EPS declined 44.3% from €4.03 in the prior year.
Normalized net income was €253.4 million, a decrease of 44.4% from €455.8 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue decreased year over year to €46.15 billion from €48.49 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to €44.99 billion from €46.28 billion.
The company said reported net income came to a loss of €138.0 million, or a loss of €1.22 per share, in the full year, compared with income of €190.0 million, or €1.68 per share, the prior year.
