First Colombia Gold acquiring Singa Energy Solutions

First ColombiaGold Corp. said April 4 that it has executed an agreement to fully acquireSinga Energy Solutions and adopt the latter's company name in line with a shiftin its corporate strategy that has been underway for more than a year.

"Our goal when we started nearly two years ago with ourfirst oil and gas acquisition was to become a major energy producer and to offerproducts and services that span multiple markets and business sectors," FirstColombia CEO Jason Castenir noted.

First Colombia also plans to introduce new products and servicesusing Singa's current business model, which includes power plant construction anddevelopment, and marketing petroleum fuels in new markets, among others, shiftingaway from the metals and mining sector.

The company will begin operating and doing business under thename Singa Energy Solutions, effective immediately, to better represent its businessand future focus.

Orrapun Misir will become chairman of Singa Energy.
