INPEX Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2016, amounted to ¥52.33 per share, a gain of 9.3% from ¥47.89 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥76.41 billion, a gain of 9.3% from ¥69.94 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 32.7% from 28.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined on an annual basis to ¥233.83 billion from ¥242.08 billion, and total operating expenses declined 9.6% year over year to ¥136.10 billion from ¥150.51 billion.
Reported net income increased 46.6% on an annual basis to ¥32.20 billion, or ¥22.05 per share, from ¥21.97 billion, or ¥15.04 per share.
