has hired investmentbanker Roger Hernandez to head the firm's Midwest bank and thrift M&A advisorypractice.
Hernandezhad previously been with PerformanceTrust Capital Partners LLC and started working with Olsen Palmer asa director in April, said Managing Partner Christopher Olsen. Earlier in his career,Hernandez worked with Zions Bancorp.in a finance and investor relations role, and he had also been with , where heexecuted M&A advisory and capital markets transactions, Olsen said.
Washington,D.C.-based Olsen Palmer launchedin 2013 with intentions to initially focus on depository M&A in the Southeastand Mid-Atlantic. The addition of Hernandez will help the boutique investment bankingfirm expand into the Midwest, and it plans to open an office in Chicago, Olsen said.
OlsenPalmer advised on five whole bank and thrift M&A deals announced in 2015 andtwo branch deals announced during that year, according to SNL Financial data.
