Microsoft Corp. and SAP SE have agreed to work together on cloud solutions for their respective customers.
Under the agreement, Microsoft Azure will run SAP S/4HANA for its internal processes and also offer the same cloud solution to its customers, according to the Nov. 28 news release. Microsoft is also eyeing to connect SAP S/4HANA to Azure AI and analytics services.
SAP will migrate its key internal business critical systems to Azure. The Germany-headquartered company's unit, SAP Ariba, is also looking into other uses for Azure within the organization.
