China Mobile Ltd. said it reached 510 million 4G customers in 2016, Reuters reported Dec. 20. The number reportedly accounts for more than 30% of the world's total 4G users.
China's largest telco said it added 168 million 4G subscribers in the first three quarters of the year.
China Mobile CEO Li Yue also said 46% of the company's overall revenue was from its wireless business, according to the report.
The company dismissed concerns regarding a slowdown, adding that it aims to sell 400 million 4G phones in 2017.
