Société Générale SA on Dec. 14 placed a €1 billion bond, Cbonds reported Dec. 15.
The notes, with an initial issue price of 99.781%, carry a coupon of 1%. The bond will mature April 1, 2022.
Société Générale acted as book runner for the issuance, the report added.
The issuance was the first by SocGen of new senior nonpreferred debt, Thomson Reuters' IFR wrote Dec. 16. Crédit Agricole SA on Dec. 13 priced €1.50 billion in senior nonpreferred notes, becoming the first lender to issue bonds in the new debt class.
