Telia Co. AB on Oct. 15 completed the acquisition of TDC A/S' Norwegian business, including TDC Norway AS and cable operator Get AS, for 21 billion Norwegian kroner.

The transaction secured approval from the Norwegian Competition Authority on Oct. 5, the Swedish telecom giant said.

TDC expects to fully concentrate on its Danish operations following the transaction. The telco acquired Get in 2014 from GS Capital Partners and Quadrangle Capital Partners for 13.8 billion Norwegian kroner.

Meanwhile, Telia, which has recently intensified M&A activity in the Nordics, is also acquiring Bonnier Broadcasting, the TV unit of Swedish media group Bonnier AB. The acquisition will include Swedish commercial TV broadcaster TV4 AB, pay TV provider C More Entertainment AB and Finnish broadcaster MTV Oy.

As of Oct. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 8.15 Norwegian kroner.
