Regions Financial Corp. filed a preliminary prospectus supplement related to an offering of an unspecified amount of senior notes due 2023.

The notes may not be redeemed by the company prior to February 2019. The company may redeem the notes in whole or in part, at any time, or from time to time, on or about February 2019 and before July 2023.

The company expects to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes.
