Windstream expands SDNow service to 50 US markets

Windstream Holdings Inc.'s software defined network orchestrated waves, or SDNow, for data center cloud applications is now available in 50 markets across the U.S.

The expansion includes major cloud connectivity and peering locations in the country. SDNow offers optical wave services based on multi-vendor service orchestration and automated provisioning across the Windstream long-haul core network.

Customers will be able to order SDNow 10G point-to-point circuits for 1,500 long-haul route combinations, with delivery in 20 days, the company said Oct. 17.
