Briju SA said its first-quarter normalized net income amounted to 47 groszy per share, an increase of 83.1% from 26 groszy per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.8 million zlotys, an increase of 83.1% from 1.5 million zlotys in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.3% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 85.9% year over year to 125.0 million zlotys from 67.3 million zlotys, and total operating expenses increased 87.1% year over year to 120.6 million zlotys from 64.4 million zlotys.
Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to 4.5 million zlotys, or 75 groszy per share, from 2.0 million zlotys, or 34 groszy per share.
As of May 15, US$1 was equivalent to 3.54 zlotys.
