Hornbach Baumarkt fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Hornbach Baumarkt AG said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30 came to 30 euro cents per share, a decrease of 6.2% from 32 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €9.5 million, a decline of 6.2% from €10.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 1.2% from 1.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to €814.9 million from €788.1 million, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to €795.8 million from €768.1 million.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to €11.2 million, or 35 cents per share, from €10.9 million, or 34 cents per share.
