PiperJaffray Cos. promoted Kashy Harrison to senior research analyst forenergy. Harrison joined the company earlier in the year and was with before it was acquired by Piper Jaffray.


WedbushSecurities Inc. promoted Stephen Beiser to head of sales trading. Priorto his new position, Beiser served as managing director of equity trading atWedbush.

Ian Lyngen will join BMO CapitalMarkets Corp. as head of rate strategy on Oct. 17, The Wall Street Journal reported. Lyngenhad served as a senior interest rate strategist at since 2009 untilhe left the company in June.


John Vaske, co-chairman of global M&A at , isleaving the company, The Wall Street Journal reported.Vaske was appointed as the third co-chairman of global M&A in December2015. Vaske is expected to work with a client instead of joining a rivalcompany, "people familiar with his plans" told the Journal.


National Planning Holdings Inc. Joseph Vinson senior vice presidentand national sales manager and Tim Munsie vice president and head of advisoryplatform strategy.Vinson was previously vice president and head of new business development forCetera Advisors LLC.Munsie was previously the director of advisory business at Infinex FinancialGroup.


Charles Peabody, founding partner of equity researchfirm Portales PartnersLLC, and two others joined Compass Point Research & Trading LLC, S&P GlobalMarket Intelligence reported. Peabody and another former Portales analyst,William Ryan, are now part of Compass Point's research group. Compass Pointalso added Paul Mattaliano as head of sales in the company's institutionalequities group.


CenterviewPartners LLC said Sean Carmody joined as a partner in its financial services practice.Carmody previously was the head of financial institutions strategic advisory atJ.P. Morgan.


Michael Schwartz joined Lazard Ltd unit Lazard Middle Market LLC as a managing director and headof corporate finance advisory.Schwartz joins from Cowen GroupInc., where he was a managing director and group head of debtcapital markets.


D.A. DavidsonCos. appointed Larry Martinez president, effective Oct. 1.Martinez will additionally oversee the company's human capital, operations andinformation technology functions.
