Hill-Rom Puerto Rico facility sustains minor damage due to Hurricane Maria

Hill-Rom Holdings Inc. said its Aspen Surgical facility in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, sustained minor structural damage, temporary loss of power and minimal water damage due to Hurricane Maria.

The company has completed repairs to the facility, resumed manufacturing operations and expects to return to full production capacity in the coming weeks. Hill-Rom employs about 170 people on the island.

Aspen Surgical scalpels and blades account for about $60 million of Hill-Rom's annual revenue, and the company said it does not expect a material financial impact due to the hurricane.
