Governor of Taiwan's central bank to step down in 2018

Governor Perng Fai-nan said that he will step down fromhis post when his current term ends in February 2018, The China Post reported Sept. 30.

Perng,who assumed the post of governor of Taiwan's central bank in 1998, said hecould not comment on behalf of Taiwan's president and premier when asked by thepress who would replace him in the role.
