Japan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index edged up 0.6% to 103.6 month over month in November, following a 0.5% rise in October, preliminary report from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed.
On an annual basis, the original index was up 3.7% to 105.5.
Shipments increased 2.4% month over month, while inventories and inventory ratio slipped 1.0% and 2.9%, respectively.
Looking ahead, the ministry anticipates production to increase 3.4% in December and to drop 4.5% in January 2018.
