CapTex Bancshares completes acquisition of Trenton Bankshares

In Texas, Bryan-based Captex Bancshares Inc. on Sept. 28 completed its acquisition of Trenton-based Trenton Bankshares Inc. and unit First National Bank of Trenton, a representative confirmed to S&P Global Market Intelligence.

According to a press release, George Lea will serve as CEO and chairman of First National Bank; Michael Thomas Jr. will serve as president and chief lending officer; and J. Richard Barajas will become chief credit officer.

The company is also planning to open another location in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2018.

As of June 30, First National Bank of Trenton had $191.5 million in assets.
