Apple poaches 3 Amazon execs

Apple Inc. poached three Inc. executives.

Tara Sorensen, head of Amazon kids programming, will assume a similar position at Apple, and Carina Walker, international development executive at Amazon, will also work in a similar capacity at the iPhone maker, Variety reported Dec. 21.

Also, Tara Pietri, business affairs chief at the online retailer, will head Apple's legal affairs division.

In October, Morgan Wandell stepped down as head of international productions at Amazon Studios to join Apple's video segment. The hiring comes as Apple placed an order for its third original scripted series through its worldwide video programming unit.
