AmWINS Group Inc. formed two specialty managing general agencies, AmWINS Specialty Logistics Underwriters and Sentinel Marine Underwriters, which will focus on the marine industry.

The agencies will become a part of AmWINS' underwriting division, which provides retail agents with property and casualty programs for specialty lines and industry classes.

Alex Rosas, executive vice president, will head AmWINS Specialty Logistics Underwriters from Sunrise, Fla., while two other executive vice presidents, Mark Bernas and Keith Blair, will lead Sentinel Marine Underwriters from Houston and New York, respectively.

AmWINS Specialty Logistics Underwriters will work with freight forwarders and third-party logistics operators, while Sentinel Marine Underwriters will offer marine and cargo insurance solutions, including global risk control, for clients including importers, exporters, manufacturers and wholesalers.

Insurance capacity for both managing general agencies will be provided by Argonaut Insurance Co., a member of Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. The policies will be issued on admitted paper and offered across all 50 U.S. states.
