BBC, Netflix to make 'Watership Down' adaptation

BritishBroadcasting Corp. and Netflix Inc. are set to make four-part miniseries"Watership Down," an adaptation of the Richard Adams novel of thesame name, Deadline.com reported April 27.

The show, about a band of rabbits fleeing from man'sintrusion, will be a co-production between BBC One (UK) and Netflix and produced by 42 andBiscuit Films. The CG-animated adaptation will be written by Tom Bidwell,directed by Noam Murro and will feature a cast that includes John Boyega, JamesMcAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Ben Kingsley and Gemma Arterton.

"Watership Down" will debut on BBC One in the U.K.and globally on Netflix. The miniseries will be internationally distributed byITV Plc's ITV StudiosGlobal Entertainment.
