Novo Nordisk A/S is considering the elimination of up to 3,000 jobs due to tough market conditions in the U.S. market, Reuters reported, citing Danish daily Borsen.
The Danish drugmaker is also contemplating dropping its long-term financial goals and will disclose a cost-cutting plan during the presentation of its second-quarter results, the news outlet reported.
Novo Nordisk does not comment on market rumors, a company spokesman told Reuters. The spokesman added that the company regularly adjusts its business according to market conditions.
