Tama Home Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Feb. 28 came to a loss of ¥24.50 per share, compared with a loss of ¥5.24 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥736.5 million, compared with a loss of ¥157.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 2.5% from negative 0.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 21.2% year over year to ¥29.20 billion from ¥37.05 billion, and total operating expenses declined 18.9% on an annual basis to ¥30.17 billion from ¥37.22 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥1.14 billion, or a loss of ¥37.93 per share, compared to a loss of ¥372.0 million, or a loss of ¥12.38 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of April 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.09.
