Centene hires ex-HealthCare.gov CEO

Kevin Counihan, who had been Healthcare.gov CEO until January, has joined Centene Corp., Vox reported.

The company confirmed Counihan's hiring to Vox, adding he would focus on its Midwestern book of business. The hiring comes amid uncertainty over federal subsidies, but Centene Chairman, President and CEO Michael Neidorff has said he is not too caught up in the "headline noise" of repeal-and-replace political battles.
