Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund pulls in $1.23B

Actis LLP secured about $1.23 billion for its first long-life infrastructure fund, providing up to $2 billion of investable capital for the new strategy.

The amount raised for the Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund includes co-investments. Fund commitments came from institutional investors across North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

The Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund business, which is led by Glen Matsumoto, will focus on originating operating infrastructure assets across Latin America, Africa and Asia.

The fund has already prioritized a pipeline of about $8 billion and has committed to injecting capital into a 100-MW solar photovoltaic plant in the Atacama region of Chile and 137 MW of operational wind generation assets in Brazil.
