Marindi MetalsLtd. said April 12 that it plans to conduct 3,000 meters of reversecirculation and diamond drilling in late April at its Newman zinc-lead project in Western Australia'sPilbara region.
The exploration program will look to identify large-scale basemetal sulfide mineralization at the project to underpin future production.
The company has secured funding from the Western Australian governmentthrough the exploration incentive scheme to drill three deep diamond drill holesbetween the Wolf prospect and the Prairie Downs deposit.
Several high-priority targets will also be tested along strikefrom the Prairie deposit to test for extensions of high-grade mineralization intersectedin previous drilling, including 4 meters at 14% zinc and 1% lead, and 3.7 metersat 22.4% zinc and 1.8% lead, including 1.24 meters at 51.7% zinc and 2.2% lead.
Drilling will take four weeks to six weeks to complete, withfollow-up and regional exploration drilling scheduled for mid-July.
