S & T Corp. fiscal Q1 profit climbs 50.7% YOY

S & T Corp. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 was 263,750 rupees, a rise of 50.7% from 175,000 rupees in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 16.2% from 16.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled 1.6 million rupees, and total operating expenses came to 1.2 million rupees.

Reported net income came to 422,000 rupees, compared with 280,000 rupees in the year-earlier period.

As of Aug. 1, US$1 was equivalent to 60.84 Indian rupees.
