Illinois American Water Co. named Justin Ladner as president of the company, effective Jan. 20.

Ladner will succeed Bruce Hauk, who has been named president of American Water Works Co. Inc.'s regulated operations and military services group, according to a Jan. 7 release.

Ladner joined the company in November 2018 as director of national regulatory affairs and was previously the governmental affairs and policy manager for Southern Power Co.

Additionally, Beth Matthews has been appointed vice president of operations of Illinois American Water, effective Jan. 27.

Matthews joined American Water in 2010, and is currently the senior director of operations for Missouri American Water Corp.'s St. Louis County operations.
