VPBank plans share sale to raise charter capital

Vietnam Prosperity JSCB plans to issue shares to raise its charter capital to more than 27 trillion dong from 15.7 trillion dong, Viet Nam News reported March 13.

The shares to be offered for sale will make up 15% of the bank's total number of shares at the time of issuance and will be issued to both domestic and foreign investors. The proposed share sale will follow the bank's IPO in August 2017.

The plan will be up for a vote at the bank's March 19 shareholders meeting.

As of March 13, US$1 was equivalent to 22,766 Vietnamese dong.
