athenahealth Inc. said Amy Abernethy will resign from the company's board, effective Jan. 31, 2019.

Abernethy has been a director of the Watertown, Mass.-based healthcare company since October 2013. She has been the chief medical officer and senior vice president oncology at Flatiron Health Inc. since July 2014.

Athenahealth provides network-based medical record, revenue cycle, patient engagement and care coordination health services for medical groups and health systems.
