Myanmar Metals Ltd.'s indicated and inferred resource at its 85%-owned Bawdwin project in Myanmar increased to 82.0 million tonnes at 4.7% lead, 119 g/t of silver, 2.4% zinc and 0.2% copper.
The previous estimate, released in March, comprised 76.9 million tonnes at 4.6% lead, 118 g/t of silver, 2.3% zinc and 0.24% copper in the inferred category.
The update includes a maiden indicated resource of 20.2 million tonnes at 5.0% lead, 130 g/t of silver, 2.6% zinc and 0.23% copper at a cutoff of 2% lead below 750 meters, the company said May 22.
At a 2% lead cutoff for both deep and shallow mineralization, the resource estimate stands at 44.5 million tonnes at 7.8% lead, 180 g/t of silver, 3.6% zinc and 0.3% copper.
Using a 0.5% copper cutoff grade, the estimate also includes a copper-rich resource of 4.24 million tonnes at 3.03% copper, 5.34% lead, 168 g/t of silver and 2.54% zinc.
The company said the new resource will be used in an updated scoping study, which is expected to be complete by mid-June.
