FERC clears Duke Energy's sale of equity interest in NY solar facility

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on March 1 approved Duke Energy Renewables Solar's proposed sale of a noncontrolling, passive equity interest in the 24.9-MW Shoreham Solar facility to BAL Investment & Advisory Inc., a subsidiary of Bank of America Corp. (FERC docket EC18-45)

The commission in November 2017 approved the Duke Energy Corp. subsidiary's application to acquire the solar farm in Suffolk County, N.Y., from Invenergy LLC. The facility is expected to go online in the second quarter and to be linked with the transmission system owned by the Long Island Power Authority, under the control of the New York ISO. (FERC docket EC17-167)
