Bayerische Motoren Werke AG on Oct. 11 posted a 4.6% year-over-year growth in its global sales during September.
The German carmaker sold 248,684 premium BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles in the month.
Sales of BMW-branded vehicles in September came in at 210,427 units, up 4.8%. Sales of the MINI brand increased by 2.9% to 37,786 units.
The company sold 16,035 electric vehicles in the month, up 10.1% year over year.
Sales of BMW and MINI brands in China surged 5.8% to 63,083 units, while sales in Europe jumped 4.4%. In the U.S., BMW and MINI brands sales grew by 5.5% to 30,972 units.
The automaker reported a 4.4% year-over-year growth in worldwide sales during August.
In the first nine months of the year, the BMW Group saw worldwide sales grow 1.7% year over year to 1,866,198 units.
