Doutor Nichires Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 amounted to ¥34.55 per share, an increase of 5.2% from ¥32.84 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.67 billion, an increase of 5.2% from ¥1.58 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 5.4% from 5.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥30.80 billion from ¥29.52 billion, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to ¥28.26 billion from ¥27.08 billion.
Reported net income rose year over year to ¥1.62 billion, or ¥33.64 per share, from ¥788.0 million, or ¥16.35 per share.
As of Oct. 15, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.21.
