NuLife Sciences to merge with 2 electronic security companies

NuLife Sciences Inc. agreed to merge with LJR Security Services Inc. and its Gulf West Security Network Inc. unit.

Under the deal, NuLife will pay through stock and assumption of LJR's corporate debt.

Both based in Lafayette, La., LJR and Gulf West provide safety, intrusion alert, fire detection and prevention as well as medical alert services for homes and businesses. The companies are owned by Louis Resweber, who previously served as the chairman, president and CEO of Pelican Security Network.

NuLife said the acquisition is the first step toward its expansion in the domestic alarm industry.

The transaction is expected to close after 60 days, subject to the completion of a third-party audit of LJR and Gulf West.

Newport Beach, Calif.-based NuLife Sciences is a biomedical company focused on medical research and technology for unmet medical needs.
