Pretium completes 1st full quarter of production at Brucejack gold mine

Pretium Resources Inc. produced 82,203 ounces of gold at its Brucejack mine in British Columbia in the third quarter, where first gold pour was achieved in June.

The mine produced 16,882 ounces of gold in July, and mill feed was predominately from low-grade stockpiles and development muck. Output in August and September totaled 65,321 ounces as production was ramped-up at the mine, the company said Oct. 11.

For the quarter, mill feed grade and gold recoveries averaged 10.52 g/t gold and 96.49%, respectively. The mill processed 261,262 tonnes of ore in the third quarter for an average of 2,840 tonnes per day.
