A.M. Best withdraws ratings on Lloyd's Syndicate - 1183

A.M. Best on April 7 affirmed and withdrew the A(Excellent)financial strength and "a+" issuer credit ratings of , which ismanaged by Talbot UnderwritingLtd.

The outlook for each rating is positive.

A.M. Best withdrew the ratings in response to the company'srequest to no longer participate in the agency's interactive rating process.

Syndicate 1183's ratings reflect the financial strength ofLloyd's of London,which underpins the security of all Lloyd's syndicates, as well as thesyndicate's strong operating performance and specialist business profile, theagency said. In addition, the syndicate benefits from its association withValidus HoldingsLtd., which is the ultimate parent of Talbot Underwriting.
