Eldorado shuffles board, cuts down to 8 directors

Eldorado Gold Corp. said Dec. 27 that it has reorganized its board to make it "leaner and more concentrated," with a total of eight directors compared to the previous 10 members.

Chairman Robert Gilmore will step down from the position, but will continue as a director, effective Jan. 1, 2018. The company then appointed George Albino as independent chairman.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Rubenstein has elected to resign as a director.

Eldorado noted that departing directors will not be replaced, and the board has also reduced director compensation.

The other remaining members on the board are Pamela Gibson, Geoffrey Handley, Michael Price, Steven Reid, John Webster, and George Burns.
