Report: MFS Investment set to abandon co-CEO structure

MFS Investment Management co-CEO Michael Roberge is set to become the company's lone chief executive Jan. 1, 2017, while Robert Manning completes a transition to executive chairman, the Boston Business Journal reported Dec. 19.

The two assumed the title of co-CEO in January 2015 when the company initiated a succession plan by promoting Roberge from chief investment officer of its equities division. Manning has served as CEO of the Boston-based money manager since 2004.
