Turkcell's board has approved an IPO for its whollyowned towers unit Kule Hizmet ve Isletmecilik AS, or Global Tower, Telecompaperreported May 2.

The Turkishoperator said that it will amend Global Tower's articles of association andinitiate regulatory procedures for the public shares flotation. No further detailswere revealed.

Global Tower operates telecom and broadcast towers acrossTurkey, according to the report.
