BayWa completes, sells Austrian wind project

BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH has completed construction of the 17.25-MW Fürstkogel wind farm in the Austrian Alps, according to a Jan. 14 company news release.

Upon project completion, the wind farm was sold to a German insurance company advised by Encavis Asset Management AG.

The facility, located in the communities of Fischbach and Stanz in Steiermark, is expected to generate 45,000 MWh of renewable electricity per year.

BayWa subsidiary Ecowind Handels- und Wartungs GmbH will be responsible for the technical operation of the wind project.
