Vietnam Dairy Products Q1 profit climbs 9.9% YOY

Vietnam Dairy Products JSC said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to 828.78 dong per share, compared with 832.54 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.194 trillion dong, an increase of 9.9% from 1.086 trillion dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 13.6% from 14.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 13.2% year over year to 8.716 trillion dong from 7.701 trillion dong, and total operating expenses rose 14.0% on an annual basis to 6.959 trillion dong from 6.105 trillion dong.

Reported net income grew 27.7% year over year to 1.402 trillion dong, or 973.65 dong per share, from 1.098 trillion dong, or 841.25 dong per share.

As of June 2, US$1 was equivalent to 21,817.50 dong.
