Union Investment acquires Washington, DC, hotel for $120M

Union Investment Real Estate GmbH purchased the 225-room Thompson Washington D.C. hotel for $120 million, the Washington Business Journal reported, citing public land records.

The 130,000-square-foot luxury hotel at 221 Tingey St. SE was sold by private equity firm Geolo Capital LP and real estate developer JW Capital Partners.

The hotel opened earlier in January.
