SunTrust Banks closing 5 remaining W.Va. branches

Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks Inc. is closing its five remaining West Virginia branches, the Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette-Mail reported March 4.

SunTrust spokesman Hugh Suhr confirmed the pending closures but could not provide details of the exact date or the number of employees who will be impacted, the report added.

Specifically, the branches up for closure are located in St. Albans, Scott Depot, South Charleston and one each in Charleston, according to the report.
