Truett-Hurst Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was a loss of $167,630, compared with income of $18,380 in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 4.3% from 0.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 9.5% year over year to $6.6 million from $6.0 million, and total operating expenses rose 23.4% from the prior-year period to $7.2 million from $5.9 million.
Reported net income came to a loss of $492,270, or a loss of 13 cents per share, compared to income of $29,470, or 1 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
