Enel Green Power, Tradewind complete 300-MW Mo. wind farm

Enel Green Power North America and TradeWind Energy Inc completed the construction of the 300-MW Rock Creek wind farm in Atchison County, Mo.

The facility has more than 150 turbines spanning 40,000 acres, with a total investment of approximately $500 million, Enel Green Power said in a Nov. 28 news release. Rock Creek is committed to sell renewable energy credits and power to Great Plains Energy Inc. subsidiary Kansas City Power & Light Co. under a 20-year power purchase agreement beginning Jan. 1, 2018, and to KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Co.
