AT&T Inc.is partnering with IBM Corp.to offer cloud networking to businesses.
Through the partnership, IBM will utilize AT&T'sFlexWare, which helps set up and manage virtual network functions on a singledevice. The offering features both software-defined networking and networkfunction virtualization technologies, according to an Oct. 5 news release. IBMhas started rolling out FlexWare on many of its own sites.
IBM's sales and marketing teams are working to extend theglobal reach of both companies for the project. Further, AT&T will be ableto use IBM's cloud to run applications. The telco will also use IBM'scognitive, analytics and security infrastructure.
