First National Bank Cortez named Jim Muller president of the bank, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

Muller's career at the Cortez, Colo.-based bank includes serving as executive vice president and senior loan officer, specializing in lending.

Ken Perry, who has been the bank's president since July 2017, will remain as a key member of the management team at the transition date and continue to lead First National Bank's agriculture lending program.

Both Muller and Perry will continue to serve on the bank's board.

With Muller moving to the president role, Cassie Alexander will step into the senior loan officer position. Alexander is vice president of commercial lending.
